The Haskayne School of Business has revised their Pre-Commerce admission requirements for 3rd year transfer applicants for Fall 2012.
In the past, students intending to transfer had to complete all pre-commerce requirements including four “Senior Non-Commerce Options” before they would be considered for admission into the BComm (Bachelor of Commerce) program. As a result of the new policy revision, academically competitive students who present the majority of the pre-commerce requirements, short only (up to) the four “Senior Non-Commerce Options” by the end of the Spring Term of the application year, will be considered. However, the grade point average for admission under this revision will be higher than for students presenting all pre-commerce requirements. This change in the admission policy is in effect now, and applies to students hoping to transfer into the BComm program for the 2012/2013 academic year. If you are planning to apply this year, please note that the application deadline is May 1, 2012.
Haskayne program advisors are available to answer questions about the BComm admission requirements. They can be contacted in the following ways:
In person: Scurfield Hall room 351 | By phone: (403) 220-6593 (select option 7)
Via email: undergraduate@haskayne.ucalgary.ca
Students may enter the Haskayne School of Business, Bachelor of Commerce degree program in first year directly from high school as a Direct Entry student, or they may transfer in to the program in their third year as a Transfer student following completion of a prescribed set of pre-commerce courses. There is no second year admission.
The Haskayne School of Business only admits students for the Fall session.
